Baked French Breakfast Donuts

TOTAL COOKING TIME: 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS
- 5 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup milk (more if needed for moist batter)
- Pam or alternate spray oil
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Additional toppings
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat donut maker and spray with Pam.
- Mix butter and sugar thoroughly. Add egg and mix well.
- Sift flour, baking pwder, salt and nutmeg together.
- Add dry ingredients alternating with milk.
- Fill donut maker with donut batter and bake for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown.
- Once done, take out of pan and immediately dip tops into melted butter than sugar and cinnamon mixture. Repeat.
- Additional toppings - confectioners sugar, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, jelly, shredded coconut
