Baked French Breakfast Donuts

Mini Donut Maker by Smart Planet
PREP TIME: 15 minutes
SERVES: 8
TOTAL COOKING TIME: 10 minutes
INGREDIENTS
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup milk (more if needed for moist batter)
  • Pam or alternate spray oil
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Additional toppings
DIRECTIONS
  • Preheat donut maker and spray with Pam.
  • Mix butter and sugar thoroughly. Add egg and mix well.
  • Sift flour, baking pwder, salt and nutmeg together.
  • Add dry ingredients alternating with milk.
  • Fill donut maker with donut batter and bake for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Once done, take out of pan and immediately dip tops into melted butter than sugar and cinnamon mixture. Repeat.
  • Additional toppings - confectioners sugar, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, jelly, shredded coconut
